HOW IT WORKS

Designed for Different Ages

Projects evolve with students as their skills grow. Younger artists begin with larger pieces, simple patterns and guided designs, while older students explore more detailed compositions, advanced techniques and greater creative independence.

What Students Make

Every session introduces a new opportunity to create. Projects can include pattern mosaics, animals and nature, names and initials, abstract designs, functional pieces like frames and coasters, and artwork students can proudly take home.

What Students Are Learning

Mosaic making strengthens focus, patience and fine motor skills while introducing color theory, pattern, composition and spatial reasoning. Students practice problem solving, creative decision-making and learn to trust their own ideas.

Built for Schools

Mosaic Making Lab is designed specifically for school enrichment programs. Materials are provided, projects are adapted by age and skill level, and programming can be tailored to the needs of each school and student group.

INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS. ONE BIG IDEA.
Students can also work together to create a larger mosaic for their school community. Each child contributes an individual piece to a shared work, creating something meaningful that can remain at the school long after the program ends.

Mosaic Making Lab is a hands-on enrichment program for students in grades K–8, with projects thoughtfully adapted for different ages and skill levels. All materials are provided, making the program easy for schools to implement with minimal preparation. Students explore color, pattern, composition, and design through individual projects, with the option to work toward a larger collaborative mosaic installation created especially for their school. The result is an opportunity for students to leave behind something lasting that becomes part of the school itself.
